Although mandatory reporting of child abuse has been incorporated in various legislation pertaining to children for many years, professionals and members of the community still struggle to know what to report and when. This short training session will highlight legislation pertaining to mandatory reporting and address various practical issues practitioners face in this field. We will also look at other complex issues like legislation pertaining to sexual activity amongst teenagers and skills in facilitating a child’s disclosure of abuse. Join us to learn more about what to report, to whom and when and how to make decisions in this complex field about confidentiality and the best interest of the child.
