Reflective Social Work in Practice (3 March 2026)
Details:
- CPD: 3
- Time: 4 Hrs to Complete
- Presenter: Dr Louise Aucamp
This self-paced training session offers professionals a comprehensive and practical understanding of internalisations (core beliefs) and how these are shaped through attachment, early experiences, and trauma. Participants will explore the neurobiological and relational foundations of internal working models, and how these influence thoughts, emotions, behaviour, and patterns in relationships across the lifespan. The course moves beyond theory to provide applied frameworks, case examples, and reflective tools that help practitioners identify underlying beliefs driving behaviour and respond in ways that promote emotional safety and meaningful change. With a strong focus on the therapeutic relationship as a vehicle for transformation, the training equips professionals with concrete strategies to gently shift maladaptive internalisations, while maintaining ethical, attuned, and trauma-informed practice.
